Painting for me is an exploration. When I paint a landscape I am not just describing the area in front of me, Im also exploring the scene as if I were going there in person. By using extremes in scale, perspective and light I create drama in my paintings, bringing the viewer into the picture plane.
Jason Hugger is a surrealist. Using found objects as inspiration he creates vivid landscapes and unusual still-life compositions. Jason is a Veteran of the Iraq war and lives with his wife in Phoenix.
